  5.     This application introduces the general concept/technique of an action spectrum, and shows how it can be used to learn something about the fundamental mechanism(s) involved in a biological response to light. The application also simulates plant phototropism from which an action spectrum for the response can be obtained and analyzed.

  7. Phototropism is used in Introductory Biology II: Organism Diversity, Form, and Function and in Plant Physiology at Allegheny College.
